Rome McMinn

Up

Rome’s first gig was at the Rum Boogie Café on Beale Street in Memphis, Tennessee, with the legendary Don McMinn and the Rum Boogie Band at the age of 15.  From that time, he has blossomed into a true artist.  He has an uncanny feeling for all types of music and a natural ability to add something special to a song.  Recording credits include Don McMinn, Reba Russell and Preston Shannon.  He has also appeared with Leon Russell, Tom Steel (Cinderella), Albert King, Three Dog Night, Mark Sallings, The Junkyard Men, B. B. King, Don Nix, Joe Walsh, Tom Ware, Jim Dandy (Black Oak Arkansas), Greg Allman and Jaimo (Allman Brothers).  Rome added a new dimension to his music experience by joining the praise band, TriplThreT, at Church of the Harvest, Memphis, Tennessee, 3 years ago.  During his service at the Church, he has played for revivals and special meetings featuring Dr. Leon Von Ryooen, Patrick Andre’ of John Avanzini Ministries, Ray Hollis (Oklahoma City), Kirk Pankranz (founder of Youth America, Oklahoma City), and Rennie Mclean.   In September, 2001, TriplThreT released its first CD called “TriplThreT - Memphis Music for Him” by well-known record producer, Danny Jones, for which Rome played bass.  The praise band at Church refer to him as “The Warrior”.
